Software for Automation Technology
In industrial plants, such as those used for producing fuels, food, or pharmaceuticals,
processes must be reliably monitored and controlled. A wide range of measuring devices
are used for this purpose – for example, to record fill levels in tanks, flow rates in pipelines,
or temperatures in production processes.
To ensure these devices operate precisely and can be seamlessly integrated into the plant,
they require specialized driver software. That’s exactly where we come in: our customers
are the manufacturers of these measuring and automation devices – and we are the
experts for the right software that makes their devices intelligent, secure, and high
performing.
You’re not familiar with our industry yet? No problem – we’ll teach you everything you need
to know!

Company

Company

We are a software consulting and development company — but above all, we are a partner
our customers can rely on.
With our team in Karlsruhe, we have built something over the years that goes far beyond
pure software development.
We advise our customers when new technologies, new standards, or new regulatory
requirements arise. We help them make the right decisions — and then work together with
them to implement those decisions in development.
Whether it’s cybersecurity, digital twins, or embedded software for process automation:
We combine deep expertise with genuine passion for technology.
For nearly 25 years, we have been actively shaping the integration standards of our
industry within international technology associations. This experience makes us a partner
today who not only delivers solutions, but also provides guidance and security.
And that is exactly our shared value contribution:
We help our customers become faster, more secure, and better — with consulting that
makes an impact and implementation that works.

Michael, Thomas, Sandra, Immanuel and Sven

Management Team

The management team not only bears professional responsibility but also actively secures
the future of our company. A central aspect of our work is driving the company’s growth.
The focus is not only on the here and now, but also on analyzing the economic situation,
identifying opportunities and minimizing risks.
In today’s management, it is crucial to make fast decisions, as the world and its cycles are
moving faster than ever before. However, management for us is about more than just
numbers and strategies. It is also about creating a supportive environment for our
employees, where they can fully develop their potential.

Michael, Sven and Sarah

Sales Team

The sales team works with great commitment to sell our services to customers and to build
long-term business relationships. With expertise, persuasiveness, and a deep
understanding of our customers’ needs, we work together to solve their problems and help
them succeed. Order intake is one of the most important KPIs.

Sandra

Director

I joined CodeWrights in 2016 from a corporation. With my move to a smaller company, I
expected to take on more responsibility and to help shape the organization in new ways.
That’s exactly what I found here. With us, there is no standing still, and we know very well
that our employees are the heart of our company.
The exciting blend of the diversity of a corporation, brought by our shareholders, and the
agile spirit of a small company is what inspires me here. Even today, it is unfortunately not
always taken for granted to be a woman in part-time leadership. Many women face
obstacles and prejudice. That is not the case here.
I love being here because I can master new challenges every day, feel the positive energy,
and continuously grow. For me, this company is not just a workplace — it truly has my
heart.

Sonya

People Administrator & Office Management

Since January 2023, I have been part of the dynamic team at CodeWrights, where I carry
out my role as HR & Office Assistant with great passion. As a former assistant in the public
sector, I have already gained extensive experience in personnel work and was the first
point of contact for working students and permanent employees regarding time tracking,
vacation, and contract extensions. I am fascinated by the diverse aspects of HR, which are
not only varied but also offer the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the
company’s success and to promote employee well-being. As an Office Assistant, I am also
present on site to welcome and assist our guests, as well as to receive packages and mail.
I consciously chose to move from the public sector to an agile IT company. The dynamics
and flexibility of such companies have always appealed to me — and that is exactly what I
found at CodeWrights. It fills me with joy to work in an environment that is focused on
collaboration and shared success.

Christina

Software Engineer

I come from Bulgaria, where after completing my first master’s degree in “Corporate
Finance,” I worked for a few years in management and marketing. However, I realized that I
wasn’t truly passionate about those two fields, so in 2018 I made two important decisions
for my further development: to pursue a second degree in “Web Developer” and to move to
Germany.
I joined CodeWrights in May 2021, and already during my first interview, I realized that I
wanted to be part of CodeWrights — not only because I find the field of “process
automation” particularly exciting and interesting, but also because I have the opportunity
here to grow in different areas and contribute my ideas.
As a mother of a young child, the topic of “work-life balance” is especially important to me.
At CodeWrights, I truly appreciate the opportunity to work flexibly, which allows me to
successfully balance family and career.

Markus

Software Engineer

I joined CodeWrights in 2005 through a job advertisement in the catalog of the Bonding
career fair in Karlsruhe. Since I specialized in “Embedded Systems & Telematics” during
my studies, the field sounded very exciting. In practice, it is not the main focus of my daily
work, but I still find it great to develop products and to keep learning.
Over the past years, I have held various positions, from developer to project manager.
What I particularly liked — and still appreciate — is the opportunity to get involved in a
wide range of projects. At CodeWrights, I value the working atmosphere, the collegial
interaction, and the company’s location close to the main train station.

Andreas E.

Software Engineer

I first came to CodeWrights in 2010 during an internship while I was still studying. Even
today, I still think it’s great to develop cool products using the latest technologies and to
continuously learn new things.
There are also many benefits that come with the job and can truly be enjoyed. It starts with
the shower facilities, which allow me to commute to work in a sporty way, and ends with
great company-wide events for the entire team.

Andreas W.

Software Engineer

I joined CodeWrights in 2003 with a focus on compiler construction and development. It
quickly became about developing new solution approaches, which still benefits me in my
current role today. In the meantime, I coordinate projects at CodeWrights that extend
beyond company boundaries and work on new industrial standards such as IIoT and
Industry 4.0.
What makes CodeWrights special is “the mix.” Especially important to me is the wide
range between cutting-edge technologies and standardization, as well as collaboration
and exchange with colleagues. The real challenge is finding modern answers for a
conservative industry in the fast-paced age of the internet.

Laura

Software Engineer

I joined CodeWrights in May 2021. During my online research on various platforms, I was
drawn to the way the company presented itself as an employer.
After completing my dual degree in mechatronics, I started working as a development
engineer in a company. Alongside my daily work, I also completed a master’s degree in
mechatronics. In 2020, I decided to take a big step: I am passionate about frontend
development and retrained full-time in this field.
Despite the pandemic, the start was great. The onboarding process was partly virtual and
partly on-site. I can ask questions at any time and was well integrated into the team. I am
very happy with the way we collaborate within the squad. I hope it continues like this!
My thirst for knowledge constantly drives me to learn new things and to look beyond my
own area. I especially like that we use the Google OKR method, which even allows me to
contribute to HR tasks and HR projects.
